The QSLM aims to develop and support professional football in Qatar while also promoting its technical performance. Such aims shall be achieved by:

1.Organising and managing the national football championship in Qatar which is deemed the main championship of football competitions in the State named as “Qatar Stars League” on professional bases according to the international football standards, especially those stipulated by QFA, AFC and FIFA.
Such championship shall be joined by the clubs recognised by and affiliated to the QFA and which fully comply with the definition of professional club according to the Asian Football Confederation criteria and requirements.

2.Organising and managing the Heir Apparent Cup on a professional bases according to the international football standards, especially these stipulated by QFA, AFC and FIFA.

3.Organising and managing any other football activities and competitions which may be assigned to QSLM by QFA subject to acceptance by QSLM.

4.Carrying out all football related activities according to the rules and regulations of QFA, AFC and FIFA.

5.Organising and managing the youth and grassroots development in football in collaboration with QFA.
