Round 21 Pre Match Press Conference- Al Ahli Vs Al Sailiya

Al Ahli are set to take on Al Sailiya on Friday evening, and will be targeting a victory after an uninspiring 1-1 draw against Umm Salal last time out. Brigaders coach Yousef Adam spoke to the media ahead of the game.

Adam opened up the press confernce, revealing his excitement for the business end of the season. “Our preparations are going well. We are now in the final rounds of the league, and every point will be vital for us now. The real competition is starting in the league for me, more is on the line and teams will be gambling more in the final games to get the points to push up the table.”

“We have to be wary of Al Sailiya, they have strengthened significantly in January and have new attackers. However we have prepared for this, and I am confident that we will be able to contain them” noted the Qatari tactician.

Adam ended the press conference noting that five players will be unavailable for the match including Meshal Abdullah and Younis Ali. “It’s true that we are missing many key players at the moment, but I am hoping that our substitutes will be able to step up and make a difference.”

Al Sailiya head into the final match of the QSL weekend against Al Ahli, off the back of a defeat to relegation rivals  Al Kharaitiyat. Assistant coach Amine Frikah gave his thoughts to the local media ahead of the game.

Opening up the press conference Amine insisted that his side is battling for the points.“Every game is difficult in the league, especially now when points are on the line. Even one point is important, as it can change everything in the league”

“We are playing a good team in Al Ahli who have showed how good they are in recent weeks, we are seeking for the victory and to ensure that we are comfortably away from the relegation zone come the end of the season” explained the Tunisian assistant coach.

Amine ended his press conference stressing that his side needs a little bit more time.“We are in need of consistency our side needs to be concentrated throughout the game. Matches are coming quickly, and we need to do our best to prepare the side. We also have new players joining the side and they need a little time to bed in before we are at our best.
