The opening round of the fifth edition of the Workers Cup has been postponed by a week and will now kick-off on Friday the 24th of February.
Organized by the Qatar Stars League and sponsored by the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy, the tournament will feature more than 600 players playing among 32 teams. Due to unexpected weather conditions, the 7 week tournament has been moved forward by a week and will now commence next Friday.
The opening match will be played between Bin Omran Trading and Contracting and Nakheel Landscapes. Before the match there will be an opening ceremony featuring live performances by artists from Ghana and Nepal. General admission is free for all the matches of the Workers' Cup. People are encouraged to attend and cheer on the 32 teams taking part in the tournament.
