Workers’ Cup Final Preview
The fifth edition of the Workers Cup is coming to a close and it’s now time for the final matches of the Workers’ Cup and the Workers’ Shield. With the games set to take place on Friday the  31st of March at at the Qatar Sports Club stadium. Four matches will be played on the day including the finals and the third-place play offs, which will take place at the QFA Al Thumama Fields earlier on in the day.

So far, in the fifth edition of the tournament there has been plenty of excitement, 76 matches have been played with close to 11,000 spectators attending in total. The spectators had plenty to keep them on the edge of their seats as a total of 397 goals have been scored up to now.

In the third-place playoffs of the Workers’ Cup L&T will take on AALCO Group kicking off at 8:30am. At the same time, Galfar Al Misnad will face Medgulf to decide the third placed team in the Workers’ Shield. Both games will take place at QFA Al Thumama Fields.

Later on, at 4:45pm at the Qatar Sports Club DULSCO will go head to head against DELTA in the final of the Workers’ Shield. DULSCO narrowly beat Galfar on penalties last week to book their place in the final against a tough DELTA side who won 1-0 against Medgulf in the semis of the Workers’ Shield.

The final of the Wokers’ Cup will kick off at 7:00pm between Nakheel Landscapes and Al Asmakh Facilities. Nakheel Landscapes booked their place in the final by winning against L&T on penalties. Al Asmakh Facilities will be high on confidence after beat AALCO Group 3-0 in the semi-finals.

General admission to all Workers’ Cup matches is free and everyone is encouraged to attend and cheer on the participating teams.
